Primary action: This formula provides a wide range of different antioxidants so that theysequester in different body systems and synergistically quench a broad range of free radicalsat different levels throughout the body. Quench-FX is indicated for a broad range ofconditions and would complement any therapy that needs strong antioxidant support. Someof these conditions include:
Aside from the above mentioned properties, each ingredient can be described as follows:
R-Alpha Lipoic Acid can directly and indirectly recycle glutathione, ascorbate, coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E. The R+Form has at least a 60% higher absorbability and utilization than regular alpha lipoic acid in a mixed (racemic) product, which would include the S-form.
Green Tea Extract contains 95% polyphenols and promotes the activity of naturally occurringanti-oxidant systems (e.g. Glutathione Peroxidase) and with hesperidin decreases the leakiness of blood vessels in the bowels.
Pine Bark Extract and Grape Seed Extract contain high amounts of oligomericproanthocyanidins (PCO’s) (90% and 95%, respectively), which are potent free radical scavengers.
Red Wine also contains PCO’s (40%) as well as resveratrol. Resveratrol is a polyphenol that enhances the effect of PCO’s and is known for its aggressive antioxidant activity that hasantibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties.
Hesperidin is the major bioflavonoid of oranges and lemons and works synergistically with polyphenols.
Quercetin is one of the most active flavonoids and is responsible for much of the medicinal activity in most plants. It also serves as a backbone for many other flavonoids including hesperidin.
Lycopene is a carotenoid with the highest overall singlet oxygen-quenching capability; roughly double that of beta-carotene.
Bilberry (25% PCO’s) and Lutein are particularly known for their therapeutic effect for eyes.
Curcumin is an extract of turmeric (curcuma-longa) and is standardized at 95%.
